My story | Thirst for Victory

People are so different, aren't they?  But what thing can make them closer? The key of this question is in my story .

It was in London in 1780 , when housing problem made people go bananas. Own detached house was pie in the sky for those who were packed as sardines in their awkward condominiums. People cried in Mr. Butler's beer and asked him to change that fine kettle of fish. He was a Midas. The world was his oyster , so it was a piece of cake to meet people's request .
- If I build a lot of cheap dwellings , people will sell them like hotcakes! But it can again cause fine kettle of fish, because people will start to make mincemeat out of each other in chase of detached houses. I don't mince the words , so to tell the truth not everybody merits my milk of human kindness! - thought Mr. Butler.
A Midas had finally understood not only how to define those who will receive a house as a gift , but also how to make people closer. It was a good idea to organise a three-day sporting contest. A team could consist of 30 people . Only three groups will receive detached houses as plums, others who will be slow as molasses will be left like a lemon.
Through the grape vine , that competition had changed London's life and all had finally become in apple - pie order
   Thirst for victory works wonders!
Hello. I am Peter. I would like to tell you my story.
Few years ago I was a person who couldn't cut the mustard. I couldn't say that I was nutty as a fruitcake or couch potato. But although I was smart cookie, I had to work for peanuts. My life was full of problems and disappointments.
I was sitting in a cafe looking for the milk of human kindness when I saw a beautiful woman dressed in red for the first time. People said she was successful, brought home the bacon and had a plum of a job. Through the grape I known that she could make mincemeat out of everyone. In sum, the world was her oyster.
I understood full well that she wasn't my cup of tea, so I paid no attention to her frequent gazes and stayed cool as a cucumber. But then a rhubard happened in the cafe and I had a great opportunity to protect the woman of my deepest desires.
Do you want to know a result of that evening? We are going in our honeymoon!!!
P.S. Even such loser as I was can find an apple of his eye!

One day my friend and I bought tickets for the concert of our favourite band “Bring Me The Horizon”. We were happy as clams. However, we didn’t get our tickets by post. I started getting worried, and we called the firm that sold these tickets to us. I became crying in my friend’s beer, but she was going to beat the stuffing out of them. They said we have to wait a little and then go to the post office. We were in a stew because the concert was the next week. After half a week we went to the post office to resolve this fine kettle of fish. They found our tickets and started bettering us up. We were so mad that did not minced the words saying that their service was dead meat. The next week we finally went to Kyiv by train, a little exhausted but happy in expectation of the concert. My friend had offer on the table to come hours earlier to have the best place in the first fan zone. We waited there for a long time, really, but this was worth it. The show was peachy keen. Incredible. Perfect. We will always remember this day. And now we have some more plans concerning other favourite band’s concerts.

Frankly speaking, Jane was happy as a clam. Of course, she understood that she must be prepared for this because in another way she had egg on her face and was dead meat. Futhermore, she's not used to be red as a lobster. So, she was ready to beat the stuffing out of herself in oder to pass the interview successfully. Eventually, director of that company was agreeably surprised and he hired her with pleasure. Jane felt like she the world was her oyster. She was so delighted because she reached success. He has an offer on the table. Last time I spoke to him he didn't mince the words and looked fair. I think, everything will be OK and that proposition will help me to bring home the bacon. He doesn't seem to be someone who can have egg on his face. On the contrary, he is ready to make mincemeat out of his enemies. And I don't ham him up now. He isn't dead meat. I'm sure he can stop fine kettle of fish and help everybody who is in a stew. He can beat the stuffing out of anything to achieve his goal. And I don't butter him up now, you understand. By the way, he is happy as a clam at high tide and smart cookie too. He has the milk of human kindness. The world is his oyster.

Who is he? Is he a pie in the sky? No, it's a piece of cake, he is a creation of my imagination...
